Things I've built

I build these with AI tools, mostly Claude, for the leagues and games I play. I try not to hand off the thinking, so I work a problem through myself first and then use Claude for brainstorming, editing, quick research and turning what I've worked out into something that runs.

Forever Companion

A starter guide for brand-new players, built for the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever while I've been getting friends into the game. It skips the jargon and the walls of text: a first-hour guide, ten rules for leveling faster and making gold, a quick quiz to pick a class, and a guide for each of the nine classes on which buttons to press and what to upgrade.

Spec Cards

When I was learning a new class, sites like Wowhead and Icy Veins gave me a bulleted list of what to cast, and I wanted a version that introduced a spec the way you actually play it. That means knowing which buttons are builders, which are spenders and which are fillers, or on a healer, what's maintenance healing and when to spend the big cooldowns, so you learn to prioritize your buttons instead of memorizing a sequence.

There's a card for each of 40 specs, with a practice mode that quizzes you on random situations, and I check the builds against Icy Veins and Archon. I've also used it to get friends into the game.

Draft Night Scorecard: available players with category z-scores beside my team versus the league average

Draft Night Scorecard

Built for the draft in my ten-team, nine-category league. On the night I used it more as an assistant and a check than as a guide, mostly to see projected stats and how my team stacked up against the others, which helped me keep track of which categories I was building as the draft went on.

I keep feeding it real stats through the season. I won back-to-back titles in this league before I built it, without any help from AI.

FPL Planner

I wanted a tool that worked through my transfers each week the way I do, and so far it's the one that's worked least. It's hard to get the way my FPL brain works into a model, and I don't fully trust AI with fantasy calls yet.

It pulls the public FPL data, projects points for every player over the coming gameweeks and tests transfer plans.

Smaller experiments

Riot Stats

A small app that pulls my recent League of Legends games from the Riot API. I've only just started it, and I'll come back to it once I'm playing more solo queue.

Fantasy football draft board

Ranks players by value over replacement for a league's settings. I built it to plan an auto-draft I couldn't attend, for a league I don't care much about, and the team is doing badly.
